3 Android blogging apps that you need on your smartphone

I normally prefer blogging using a computer. But when you are always on the go and a million of thoughts are running through your head, it is always great to be able to blog using your smartphone. You need tools to make your blog post awesome. Here are some android blogging apps that will help your blogging journey easier.

Picmonkey

Picmonkey has it’s own desktop version. It easier to navigate however if yiu don’t have a computer in hand, this is a tool that will make your blog post image awesome.

The great thing about Picmonkey is that you can crop photos for your profile pic, post and even for cover for a lot of social media sitea. Here are a list of sites that you could use your photos with picmonkey.

  • Facebook
  • Pinterest
  • Linked in
  • Snap chat
  • Google +
  • Twitter
  • Youtube

This is the second photo editing app that I use. The first one is not worth mentioning. The only downside with this app is that there are layout template like the templates that is available with the next app that I will be discussing in this post.

Here is another great thing about Picmonkey. You can use it even if you don’t have internet connection.

Click here to download in google play.

Canva

More people are familiar with canva’s desktop version. The only reason why I did not use it first because this photo editing app was not available for android until recently. Hooray. If you check out my last post, that is the only photo that I edited si far. Here is the list of what you can do with canva’s android app.

  • Instagram post
  • Facebook post
  • Facebook cover
  • Square social media media graphics
  • Photo collage
  • Poster
  • Flyer
  • Invitation
  • Card
  • Twitter post
  • Twitter header
  • Blog banner
  • Youtube thumbnail
  • Youtube channel art
  • Your story
  • Pinterest graphic
  • Cd cover
  • Book cover

I like canva because of the templates. I would need to create it from scratch. Just click on a text that you want to change and you are good to go.

Creating graphics using Canva improves your blog photo greatly. Only downside with canva is that it is you can’t use it when you are not comnected to the internet.

WordPress

The android wordpress app is where I create drafts for my post using my smartphone. You can use it whether you have a wordpress.com or a wordpress.com.

You can easily track your page views as long as you have a jetpack plugin installed. You can also approve comments easily using the app.

Another advantage if the wordpress app is that you can create drafts even if you are not online. The post will be accessible using your smartphone and you just need to upload it when you go online.

My only problem is that you can’t use some of the great features of yoast SEO. If you have the plugin installed, you can check the rating of the readibility and the seo of your post. I wish they could incorporate that with the app.

Click here to download the android version of wordpress.

There are other tools that I use such as the google keyword planner and snappa’s free stock photo. Check previous post for the link.

If there are apps that you use, feel free to comment it.
